The Grassfed Guardians

The Grassfed Guardians is a series of comic books/graphic novels detailing the heroic adventures of a motley crew of animals who come together to fight against the destructive and imperialistic INDUSTRY that threatens their homes and existence. With these stories we aim to connect with young readers about the importance of conservation and our duty as shepherds of the natural world.

The titular character and leader of the Guardians is Murray The Yak. Murray has his own set of stories for children in The Adventures of Murray the Yak, however; these GFG books which are aimed at a wider young audience will feature Murray and his band of Guardians teaching about sustainable practices and inspiring young minds to take action themselves.

We are seeking donations to help fund the artists and writers creating these stories as well as donations for publication and distribution in the classrooms.

Educational Field Trips

The G.R.A.S.S.-F.E.D. Guardians are trying to meet children in the classroom but also on the agricultural land to participate in hands-on activities and scientific processes that will teach them about regenerative agriculture. This includes (but is not limited to) soil testing, grass maintenance, fauna identification, irrigation science, animal biology, etc.

We are seeking donations to acquire equipment and tools for the children on these trips, as well as donations to help us partner with community agencies and enterprises for more comprehensive lessons in the classroom and in the field.

Virtual Fencing - Collared Rotational Grazing

Currently, grazing requires fencing, manpower, and a bit of luck from nature in order to graze. By implementing state-of-the-art collar technology, the livestock can be guided virtually and contained without the waste and intangibles of the physical fences, but with the efficiency and total control in the palm of one’s hand.

We are seeking donations in order to purchase the collar devices and the telecom space necessary for the project. Our aim is to zero-out the waste destructible fences, save livestock lives from train and car accidents, and make sustainable grazing a tech-friendly process for the younger generations.
